While this may seem like preparation to prepare to think about doing something, I am looking at what it would take to grow mushrooms this summer. I have seen some interesting posts on other sites and thinks that I have the room at the retreat to try it. I am not sure of the outcome, but will keep everyone updated on the process. It is an aspect of farming/gardening that I have never tried before and for that reason alone I think I would give it a go. Beyond that, I really like mushrooms.
As a side note, I am discussing normal food grade mushrooms. You should never play/eat/grow any fungus that may be poisonous or narcotic in any way (beyond that which is allowed through certain religious organizations).

As a follow up to the mushroom quest, I have had several friends and associates who have mentioned they too have thought about growing their own mushrooms. It seems that fungus is a popular food item. I am thinking that maybe a mushroom circle or ring (pun intended) might be in order.
