Personal and Retreat Vision

I was asked by a professor and mentor today to create what was my personal vision as a health professional. After long thought I realized that my efforts as a health professional are tied intimately with my own personal vision for life and as a religious servant. After reading through what I consider my own virtual mentors or Gandhi, Einstein, FDR, MLK and others, I spent some time thinking and meditating. What finally was put to paper explains why I do and create what I do as a pastor and a health professional, as a person and a father, as a husband and companion. Some of this has been building for over two decades. In other ways it is an ongoing pathway to my own personal actualization and acceptance. I wanted to share it because for a moment there was absolute clarity of purpose.

Namaste.

“Create within the community a place of peace and safety, where the under served and forgotten are given not only the tools but the capability to foster within themselves a healthy and whole life.”
