Closer to the physical location of the Retreat than most of the other locations, the hot springs of Truth or Consequences New Mexico offer an opportunity for visitors and residents to relax in a quiet environment. Fed from underground hot springs and situated next to the Rio Grande River, it affords, especially at night, a secluded retreat to meditate and recuperate from the worlds stresses. This retreat is also unique in that it is one that has been used before by Retreat residents.
A unique feature of several of the hot springs are the work for board options that they offer. By performing various tasks needed, visitors can significantly reduce their monetary outlay in much the same way as the monks of history.
