Gift of Connections

Everything flows from the Divine.  Life, death, love, apathy…all are parts of the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.  What then drives a connection between two or more people?  How is this ineffable draw between unique and luminous beings created?  As we move through the cycle of life, there are times, for whatever reasons that this totality of humanity is revealed to us in a single instant.  Oft times (but not always) this is through love.  When it does happen, it behooves us to accept the importance of that person in our lives.  At times, this can be difficult due to distance or separation.  This difficulty is a creation of the human mind though, as the Divine does not see distance or time, it simply sees the One.

Human choice though can create curtains and walls that separate the elements of this connection.  Sometimes these barriers are created out of necessity.  Other times it is simple choice or circumstance.  Inevitably, though, the creation of these walls attempts to put bounds on unconditional love and the One.  The world moves towards Unity.  Separation is created by humanity and slows the advance towards enlightenment and understanding.

When the connection between beings is found, it should be nurtured and cherished as a touch of the Divine.  Seeing the world from the inside, we rarely get to see the entirety of Creation.  In the instant that this occurs, the picture should be irrevocably burned into our memories for all time, carried through lifetimes as a token of what is possible.  At times, this can be difficult.  Various “circumstance” conspire to create a rift that separates the One.  This rift can widen and become a great sea of isolation.

In the end, as with everything, human choice drives whether or not the gift of the Divine is nurtured or diminished.
