This week’s retreat takes us to a somewhat unlikely place, the Istanbul University Botanical Gardens. Started in 1935 by Dr. Alfred Heilbronn, it is the largest garden in Turkey located in one of the largest cities in the world. Tucked away in the middle of this great city, it allows for people to return to nature and escape the daily grind of the modern world. This trip is dedicated to a regular visitor to the Retreat and his wife who have planned a global rendezvous.
