Sometimes nature decides that it is coming to you. The retreat this week is the city of Nara Japan. Normally we do not use cities as retreat locations. Nara is unusual though in that is has a deer population in the thousands. These tame deer are protected as holy animals. According to legend, the city came under the protection of Takemikazuchi. The deer roam the streets and parks of Nara unmolested.
