Year of the Snake

I would like to wish everyone a slightly belated Happy New Year.  While I understand that most Americans celebrate the normal January 1^st Julian New Year, I think that being able to celebrate different cultures and paths adds to the diversity and flavor of life.  I myself celebrate Chinese New year, not only because of its ties to Taoism but also because of the pageantry and celebration of new beginnings.  The year ahead has new possibilities and new chances while the year past has lessons and wisdom.
